I have fond memories of Ian, even though we only came to England to see the Bruces twice. We were sitting in a pub when a young woman walked by talking. He stopped her and said, "You are from ... county in Scotland, aren't your." He was right, of course. My husband and I sat there in awe of his ability to pick up the different Scottish accents.
